Unto Dust

I was pulled in to develop and oversee construction of the sets on a micro-budget short film. Micro budget projects are interesting, you really have to look around at what you have currently and start telling the story with that. We turned an abandoned building (scheduled for demolition the next week) into a sound stage, and used a few tricks to cheat the scale. The rest we covered up with anamorphic lens flairs. It's sci-fi, after all! I'm proud of this one. Lots I'd want different, of course, but knowing the budget and timeline and everything the camera doesn't, I'm pleased with the results. This was my debut as a production designer.
